Quarantine!?!?
WOW!
There has been sooo much that has happened lately! For starters, we were going crazy on the missionary work, teaching, visiting people, and doing service. Pretty awesome. But then....Do you guys remember Covid? Well, we had quite the stir-up by it, it messed a lot of things up haha! We had lunch with some people and then they tested positive a week or so later so we had to quarantine. But that's not it, while we were in quarantine somebody brought us food who the next day tested positive as well....WHAT ARE THE CHANCES!? So, we had to re-set our 14 days haha so we were in for a total of 17 days.
Let me say that it was for sure not the easiest or most fun thing that I have had to do but, there is so much to learn and grow from every situation. I learned how to have patience and to see the good/light in every situation. We also were able to find a couple of new people to teach while we were in quarantine, how cool is that!?
One cool scripture that I came across is in D&C 80. It shows and illustrates an important lesson that I think was applicable to my situation, as well in other people's situations and circumstances as well. When we are going through rough times and are just wondering "Why me?" or "Why is this happening" we need to and must turn to the Lord. These scriptures read,
"Behold, this is the will of him who hath called you, your Redeemer, even Jesus Christ. Amen."
"...For ye cannot go amiss."
No matter how hard things get or however troubling our circumstance may be, just know that the Lord is in control. He knows what is best and we need to have our will swallowed up in his, even when it's hard. Because after all, he will NOT lead us amiss.
Here are some other pictures of the mission so far!
